Wendy's Place: Hope Clinic's Home for Moms and Babies
Hope Clinic for Women receives hundreds of calls from women in crisis every month. Sometimes our counsel begins and ends over the phone. Many other times, they need us for the entire pregnancy. Each year over 450 of these women in an unplanned pregnancy let us provide much needed counseling, education, medical care and practical care.
As we have walked with these women over the years, we realized another desperate but simple need for many of our clients…..housing. A warm bed. A safe place for them and their baby to sleep. A chance to build their future. In the fall of 2008, we acquired a home to fill this most basic need. We refer to this home as: Wendy’s Place, in honor of a former volunteer and donor.
If you would like to make a financial donation to help fund typical monthly expenses, please click here. If you would like a current list of much needed household items, please click here. All items can be dropped off at our main location at 1810 Hayes Street.
All women who reside at this home also follow an individualized client treatment plan conducted at our main location on Hayes Street in Nashville alongside our other pregnant clients. With all our pregnant clients we use a multi-service approach by addressing medical, psychological, spiritual and educational needs. This approach helps our pregnant clients take strides towards building a stable life for herself and her child.
