Karina Maza is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) and a certified Spanish Medical Interpreter (CMI-Spanish). She earned her MSN at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where she was recognized as the Outstanding WHNP student in her class. Karina is passionate about women’s welfare and access to affordable health care services. She is thrilled to be a part of Hope Clinic for Women.
Before pursuing her nursing career, Karina was a Spanish Medical Interpreter at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for 5 years. In 2016, she was named “Interpreter of the Year” by the International Medical Interpreters Association. Her experience in the interpreting world made her familiar with the different cultures and ethnic groups in middle TN.
