Latonia Cox is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation and a Registered Play Therapist who has worked with children for most of her career although she can work with clients throughout the lifespan. She is fully proficient in the Spanish language and have worked in the Latino community for 19 years in various capacities. Latonia’s clinical area of focus is working with children, adults, and families who have experienced trauma, transitions/adjustment, depression, anxiety and interpersonal relationship issues. She has been trained in various modalities to such as EMDR, TFCBT, Theraplay ®, Expressive Therapies, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Play Therapy, and Systems Theory to provide quality mental healthcare.
Latonia is a lecturer and trainer regarding topics on play therapy and trauma and clinical supervision topics. She also provides consultations for child trauma cases and clinical supervision for those pursuing registered play therapy credentials.
