Renée Rizzo

President & CEO

Renée Rizzo spent the first part of her career in the corporate world of finance, marketing and strategic planning before entering church ministry in her home state of Connecticut as the Business Manager and then Director of Equipping Ministries. Her role there included helping church members find their ‘fit’ within/outside the church. She arrived in Nashville in 2004 and has been the President/CEO of Hope Clinic for Women ever since. While Hope Clinic was established in 1983, Renee has brought significant growth with the full development of a medical, social work, and counseling staff to complement the wonderful spiritual mentor support done by many faithful volunteers. This helped grow services in depth and breadth. She was named Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence in 2008 and helped Hope Clinic see over a 400% client growth. She also established the work study and internship program with Trevecca, TSU, Belmont, and Vanderbilt bringing another dozen college and post-college students to the team. She also teaches classes at the Center for Nonprofit Management. At the 2016 Center for Non-Profit Management Salute To Excellence, Renée was a finalist for Bank of America’s CEO of the Year Award.

On the personal side, she spent 10 years coaching young girls from the age of 8-18 as well as leading numerous bible studies for teens, young adults and women. She moved into the Melrose area in 2007 (before it was ‘cool’) and lives there with her fur children. She loves running, yoga and paddleboarding. She is usually cooking Italian food for donors, churches, friends and family!
