In the “Age of the Internet,” one would think you could find everything you’d ever need to know about parenting online. However, with unlimited access to every individual’s thoughts and opinions, it can be difficult deciding what to read, much less what to actually believe. Let Hope Clinic help you out! Here are a few articles, websites and blogs we like for a variety of reasons. Enjoy!

1. https://babysafetyzone.org/

We like this website because it provides general information on how to keep your baby safe. Have questions about a car seat? Need some tips on baby’s bath time? Look it up on this website and you’re bound to find some sound advice. This website is backed by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, so we know it’s legitimate.

2. http://www.mommybabynurse.com/pregnant-whats-happening-to-me/

A Registered Nurse and mother of three, Kelly breaks down what’s happening in each part of your body as you advance in your pregnancy. We like this article because it explains the medical effects in detail, while also breaking it down for us “non-nurses.” Being informed about your body’s changes during pregnancy can help alleviate worry and anxiety.

3. http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-20061/8-realistic-workout-tips-for-stay-at-home-moms.html

For those of you with young children or newborn babies, we know how overwhelming it can be to start exercising again. However, the benefits of working out (increased energy, endorphins, a feeling of accomplishment, etc.) are worth it. This blog offers some practical tips, but also speaks truth about cutting yourself some slack and loving yourself and your body.

4. http://www.mom365.com/baby/baby-activities/winter-activities-with-a-baby.aspx

These days it may be a little too cold for a turn on the swings or a visit to the zoo. Take those walks inside the mall, make a fort, or read some new books at the library! We love these indoor activity suggestions, especially the ones that stimulate your baby’s senses.

http://www.sheknows.com/parenting/slideshow/4921/best-apps-for-moms (for moms of babies and young children)

It’s 2017, and we know you’re going to have your smart phone on you wherever you are. Download some of these apps and make your phone an assistant rather than a distraction.

We hope these articles are useful to you! To learn more about similar topics in a group setting, consider checking out our New Mom’s Group and our Bridge Program Classes (calendar found here). We would love to talk to you in person!
