Birth Control & Abortion Information

Note: We do not provide or refer for any abortion procedure. We can provide educational and medically information and a medical-grade pregnancy test and ultrasound with an initial appointment.

Birth Control

When considering contraception there are many factors that must be considered for women, men, or couples. The only way to 100% prevent pregnancy or STD transmission is abstinence. We know you have many options when considering a birth control method that is appropriate for you, which is why we are providing the information below for educational purposes only for you to discuss with a Hope Clinic medical provider. Oral contraceptive prescriptions/refills/referrals are available to women 18 years or older during a required in-clinic consultation with a Nurse Practitioner to see if this is an appropriate medical option for you.

Methods of Birth Control:

  • Oral Contraceptives (offered in clinic)
  • Injections
  • IUDs
  • Barrier Methods
  • Fertility Awareness-Based Methods

If you have more questions about birth control methods, feel free to call the Hope Clinic at 615.321.0005 and set up a call or appointment with one of our medical professionals.

Abortion Information

When you are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, we understand you may consider all of your options: parenting, adoption and abortion. It is important to understand that abortion is a medical procedure. As with any medical procedure, you should gather all of the information about the procedure, risks, and side effects associated with it.

While we prefer to hear your story and unpack your options in person, we realize you may want to gather some information before coming into to see us. At Hope Clinic for Women, we can discuss each of these options with you; even though we do not perform nor refer for abortions. We hope to educate, inform and equip you as you make your choice.

Types of Abortion procedures:

  • Abortion Pill
  • Mifepristone plus Misoprostol – up to 10 weeks from LMP
  • Surgical Procedures
  • Aspiration & Suction – up to 13 weeks from LMP
  • Dilation & Evacuation (D&E) – 13 weeks from LMP and up.
  • D&E After Viability – 24 weeks from LMP and up.

To book an initial free pregnancy test and options counseling appointment call 615.321.0005 or text “HCFW” to 797979.

NOTE: We offer accurate information about all your pregnancy options; however, we do not offer or refer for abortion services. The information presented on this website is intended for general education purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional and/or medical advice.

If you have experienced an abortion and are looking for a safe space to unpack emotions or lingering thoughts, we invite you to check out our post-abortion services. We offer one-on-one counseling and a support group that meet bi-monthly. We are here for you.
