Relationship Education: Parent Workshop Series
Learn how to talk to your teenager about relationships and sex
You know your child best and know what’s best for them, so we want to come alongside you and pass on our expertise and resources to be a source of continued support in your family’s ongoing conversations about intimacy and relationships. There are three essential elements to the parent workshop series: review of student content, key application principles, and role play practice. Applicable student content is summarized and, where beneficial, adults participate in student activities and online modules to gain an experiential understanding of the content. Parents then receive practical application tips based on educational, psychological, and public health theories; so that the family’s values can also be supported by data and research. Finally, participants engage in role play practice to apply learned content and principles in preparation to respond to their teen’s experience in Hope Clinic for Women’s Relationship Education program or to teach the concepts within their own households.
Program includes: 3 70-minute live sessions for up to 2 parents/guardians, access to student modules, limited ongoing coaching by facilitators, and option of pairing with online student programming.
